We're continuing our discussion and diving deeper in breaking down bias. This installment will be focused Fair and Affordable Housing, including AFFH. We'll go into the history surrounding what led us to the Fair Housing Act and introduce real-life examples (which have been uncovered as recently as last month) to answer whether or not we still need fair housing.

The 2020-2021 General Update (GenUp) course presents information regarding:
(1) The Competence of Licensees and the broker’s duty to provide clients with skill, care, and diligence;
(2) Material Facts the categories of material facts, how to determine if a material fact exists, and the duties of both the listing and buyer’s agents;
(3) Property Inspections what they are and the broker’s responsibilities related to inspections;
(4) Wire Fraud common fraudulent activity in the real estate industry, and best practices for brokers to help protect themselves and their clients from fraudulent activities;
(5) Law and Rule Updates descriptions of updates to Commission rules that became effective July 1, 2019, and that will become effective July 1, 2020; and
(6) Licensing and Education review of various license categories and statuses, and how to attain and maintain them.
PLEASE NOTE: BIC's and BIC-eligible brokers will take the new BIC Update and a 4-hour elective and will NOT take the GENERAL UPDATE
