LUNCH & LEARN - What Animal am I?
Wednesday, January 31st from 11:30 to 1:00pm . (LIMITED to 30 SEATS!)
Bring Your Computer, Tablet or Smart Phone
Join us for a fun-filled event to find out Your Animal Type. This event was created after the success of the New York Times Bestseller "Surviving Your Serengeti: 7 Skills to Master Business and Life," by Stefan Swanepoel. This compelling fable is based on the survival skills of seven animals and how this wisdom can help us all maximize our strengths, overcome our weaknesses and better understand others. The seven skills are: the Enduring Wildebeest, Strategic Lion, Enterprising Crocodile, Efficient Cheetah, Graceful Giraffe, Risk-Taking Mongoose and Communicating Elephant.
All of us, irrespective of who we are, have innate skills that shape who we are and what we can achieve. Understanding yourself better, as well as those people around you, enables you to perform at a higher level. Similar to other skills based quizzes and personality tests; the “What Animal Am I?” quiz is a behavioral online assessment. There are no right or wrong answers. The quiz merely measures your strengths (we call it your instinctive survival skill) so that you can maximize your potential by improving your weaknesses and developing your strengths. learn more >>

Alderman Elementary Rain Garden
Volunteers will help maintain rain gardens by removing invasive plants, pulling weeds, pruning trees and spreading mulch. The rain gardens and stormwater wetlands are projects implementing the Bradley and Hewletts Creeks Watershed Restoration Plan, which aims to reduce the amount of polluted runoff that makes its way into the creeks. Rain gardens and wetlands help filter polluted runoff, protecting water quality and preventing swim advisories and shellfish closures. Rain gardens and wetlands also help to reduce hazardous flooding and provide wildlife habitat.
